New Zealand Pharmaceuticals Limited (NZP) traditional business is the extraction and purification of biochemicals from natural raw materials.  NZP successfully produces of a range of ingredients for export to pharmaceutical, microbiological media, health food, and biotechnology markets worldwide.

NZP is seeking a Process Operator for Afternoon Shift at its Linton based plant in Palmerston North. The shift hours are 3.15pm to 11.15pm Monday to Friday. A flexible approach to working hours is required as some weekend work may be required.  These are hands-on operational roles involved in the manufacture of bulk pharmaceuticals and involve the operation of machinery and the handling of chemicals. NZP operates under current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and therefore applicants must be able to understand and follow written procedures. A good understanding of mathematics is desirable.

Preferably the applicant should have:
• Previous manufacturing experience in a regulated processing industry.
• Good mechanical aptitude

Experience in any of the following would be an added advantage
• Active Pharmaceutical Intermediate manufacture,
• Ultrafiltration,
• Vacuum Evaporation
• Spray Drying.
